AUSTRALIAN MEAT GROUP HISTORY
The Australian Meat Group executive management team has a wealth of experience in the agribusiness and the meat industry and are dedicated to delivering excellence throughout all facets of the business.
Joe Catalfamo, Executive Chairman, began his career in the meat industry in the mid 1960s as a teenager. In 1964 he opened his first retail store. In 1980 he moved into the processing business, building a substantial business servicing both the domestic and export meat markets.
Gilbert Cabral, Managing Director, has worked in the industry for more than 30 years and was the Managing Director of Tasman Group after starting work with the group in 1986. Gilbert’s core skills are in the areas of marketing, production and plant design. His history of re-commissioning and turning around sites and facilities includes increasing capacity, catering for multi-species and the significant improvement of costs per head.
Chief Financial Officer
Tony Tarquinio, Chief Financial Officer, commenced with Tasman Group in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. Tony has significant experience in financial reporting, working capital management, profit improvement programs, banking and treasury and restructuring of businesses.
